The Full Story

Salahuddin "Sal" Holmes was born and raised in the gritty, rugged streets of Newark, NJ. Sal always knew he had a unique sense of humor. He was raised by his mother and father, who worked in the Newark Public Schools system. His father was not only his parent but his teacher as well as his basketball coach. He got sent to his father's class almost daily for acting up in school.

Soldier & King

Sal learned he had an exciting gift for making people laugh. Being named the most humorist person in his elementary class as well as High School (CLASS CLOWN) In high school, Sal spent his weekends working with Quest community vibrations. And every Saturday morning, he talked live on the radio at Seton Hall University's WSOU 89.5fm Pirate Radio. After graduating high school, Sal enlisted in the United States Air Force. He could make his fellow soldiers laugh while in some of the harshest and most brutal locations in the world This is where Sal's comedy career started. Performing at the clubs were ever stationed with bases in Saudi Arabia, Korea, Japan, and with stops in Italy and Germany.

Vision & Passion

After being honorably discharged from the USAF, Sal decided to pursue his dream of becoming a comedian. Sal performed at showcases and open mics at New York, Broadway, Gotham Comedy Clubs, Laughing Buddha, Laugh House in Philly, Allure's, and Sugar Rays Comedy Club, to name a few. In addition, he performed a few skits in Skits R Us and the hidden camera show Hood Pranks and had a movie role in the film "Nicknames." With his raw, witty, social, and insightful observations, Salahuddin "SAL" Holmes is sure to become one of the rising stars in the comedy business.
